News About Golf Tournament

8.7.20 – The current pandemic is proven to be a major disruptive force, both medically and economically, for many families and businesses thus far in 2020. Nonprofit organizations such as ours have seen donations virtually dry up. Given all that however, we are pleased to be able to announce a virtually "touch free" golf tournament in the DFW area this fall!

The RB Golf Course and Resort in Runaway Bay, Texas has invited 10 area nonprofit organizations to participate in golf tournament fundraisers, and our foundation is excited to be one of these 10. Runaway Bay is located west of Denton on Highway 380, about 60-90 minutes from most locations in the Metroplex. This tournament will benefit Donald Rindahl of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Donald owned and operated a small general contracting business until a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed in 2015. He has asked us for a wheelchair platform inclined stair lift for his home, and the proceeds from this golf tournament are designed to help make that happen. Toward that end, we are looking for at least 60 golfers to join us on October 3.

Our foundation and the golf course are taking as many precautions as possible in light of Covid 19, including touchless registration, no central group gatherings, one golf cart per person if desired, (which limits tournament to a maximum of 72 players if every golfer has their own cart) and more. See the attached tournament flyers for complete details. Information and touchless registration can be completed on the foundation website at Golf Events/Dallas Golf/Runaway Bay Golf.
