Ella Gorji
Ella Gorji lives in San Jose and has been working at an Architectural/Engineering Construction firm since graduating with a Master of Architecture degree in 2018. She is a drafter-designer on tenant finish out projects.
She was in an automobile accident resulting in spinal cord damage at the T12 level
The accident threatened her financial security as she lives by herself, and the ongoing medical treatments are very expensive. Some of these medical costs are not approved by her insurance or they only pay a small percentage. Being an immigrant, she has no family support so she must rely on income derived from her job. She has difficulty walking, especially longer distances. Her job is in downtown Sunnyvale which requires a lot of walking. She learned about our foundation through the Christopher Reeve foundation. She petitioned our foundation for a scooter and lift to transport with her car.
Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to meet her request!
On receiving her scooter, Ella wrote “I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for helping me with the cost of purchasing a scooter and lift. This support means the world to me, as it will significantly enhance my independence and mobility in daily life. Your kindness has truly made a meaningful impact on my life, with heartfelt appreciation.”
