12.7.20 23 Foundation Adds New Board Member

The Joseph S Groh Foundation announced the appointment of a new board member, Nicole Noris. Nicole is a Strategic Vendor Manager at Service Nation, a revolutionary organization founded by leading contractors to help other contractors improve their operations and profitability. Nicole is responsible for leading her team in the building of strategic relationships with vendor partners. “Nicole’s presence on the board reflects a strengthening of the partnership between Service Nation and the Joseph Groh Foundation,” said founder Joe Groh. "We look forward to working with Nicole to drive awareness, fundraising and the provision of grants by the foundation to members of the HVAC, plumbing, and remodeling industry.”

10.25.2023 Phoenix Tournament and Expo a Resounding Success

67 golfers participated in the first ever Service Nation tournament for the foundation which was held in Phoenix on October 2. Between the tournament and fundraising during the subsequent Expo, a little over $92,000 (net) was raised for individuals from the trades who are living with life altering disabilities.

In other news, the date for the Dallas 2024 tournament has been announced. It will be held at Heritage Ranch GC in Fairview, Texas on Monday, April 29.

50 golfers participated in the Daikin Applied golf tournament in Ramsey, Minnesota on July 17. The tournament raised a record $35,000 for grant recipients of the foundation.

4.18.23 Announcement Made at Dallas Golf Tournament

The Joseph Groh Foundation announced a major milestone has been achieved.

106 golfers participated in the tournament which raised $59,000 for the foundation.

2.1.23 Joseph Groh presented with Lifetime Achievement Award at AHR Expo

On Sunday, February 5 Ben Poole, founder of HVAC Tactical, announced the top industry influencers at the 2023 AHR Expo in Atlanta. HVAC Tactical was founded in 2018 with an idea that HVAC individuals who are passionate about their craft should be celebrated and acknowledged. Prime sponsors for this event included Supco, a manufacturer and distributor of value driven, technician focused products for the HVACR and aftermarket industry; Webstone, a provider of time and space saving residential and commercial valves used in plumbing, hydronic, radiant, solar and geothermal applications; and RLS Rapid Locking Systems, designers and supplier of the first press to connect fittings for the HVAC and refrigeration industries.

Eleven awards were given out for categories including best HVAC Podcast to Influencer of the Year to Lady of the Trade, a full list can be seen in the link to the article from ACHR news below. I was honored and humbled to be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. I am excited about the awareness this will bring to our foundation, and as I said in my acceptance speech, while one person is being acknowledged, this recognition would not be possible without the shared passion of family and industry friends.
